He's like a shit version of Ashley Cole. Saying that Ashley Cole is probably in the top 3 best left backs in the world so i dunno lol

A lot of England's players are not very good. Look at them tonight getting beat off Egypt and playing Lampard/Gerrard/Barry in the same team does not work.

It's a travesty a player as average as Gareth Barry has ever pulled on an England shirt.

Best league in the world my arse and if it wasnt for all the foreigners here it would be worse.

Look at Lampard for Chelsea he is brilliant but for England he is pretty much average.

Lampard is surrounded by quality at Chelsea making him look much better than he is - another player who is not genuine international class.

The only true world star we have is Rooney.

he only scores against crap teams.. lets see how he does against the likes of spain, brazil... he will do nowt. Carroll will be better than crouch in time as long as he keeps his axe together off the field and keeps working at his game.

what qualities has crouch got apart from scoring a few goals against poor teams... 9 foot 3 and he can hardly head the ball... and he has no strength whatsoever.. wasn't good enough for liverpool, can't get in tottenham's team, number 1 england striker though, thats all you need to know about england.

How the hell can you say Egypt is a crap team they have just won the African Cup of Nations.

Yes we would expect England to beat them at home but they were ranked 10th in the world in February so they are certainly not crap.

Also 20 goals in 37 games for England i think you will find thats a fucking cracking goalscoring record and also he has scored most of those as a substitute.

So is Shola's this year. 8 goals in 14 or something isn't it?

A ratio of 1 in every 2 games is canny at Championship level.
A ratio of 1 in every 2 games is fucking excellent at International level.

Even if the vast majority of Crouch's goals came against "Championship" teams like Jamaica and Costa Rica?

Truly world class at the minute: Ashley Cole and Rooney.

Besides that Terry, Rio and Gerrard usually are but form / injuries has affected them all. Besides them..

why ignore the stats mate?

I've said it before....I honestly think people don't rate Crouch largely on the way he looks.....aye he's a bit cumbersome looking and aye he's very gangly but technically he's very good

If Figo or Zidane had of put that little back healed flick into the path of Gerrard people would have been creaming themselves over it....because it's Crouch it gets ignored

he scores goals....he creates goals and his hold up play is very good.......you can't ask for much more really

TBF to Crouch like..

2 against Greece 2006 (Reigning European Champions)
1 against Croatia
1 against Ukraine
2 against Egypt (current ANC holders)

Also, in 20 games, he has scored twice in 5 of them and a hat-trick in one, which was his first start for England. Incidentally, exactly the same record as Shearer's in 30 games. (Ah knaa, not in the same league as Shearer, but comparisions are comparisons)

It is split even between 10 friendly goals and 10 competive goals.

It dont matter who you score them against as long as you do and Crouch seems to have a knack for scoring goals in an England shirt.
