Old melty face has gotten off very lightly in the press for the part he played in Portsmouth demise. Him, Peter Storrie, and Milan Mandaric are all in it up to their tits.

But good old 'Arry has his mates in the press. They fecking laav 'im. All he has to do is put on a camel coat, a pork pie hat, and set fire to a garage and he'd attain the highest form of evolution possible for a cockney wanker.

A study of evolutionary states for "Cockney Wankers"

  • Single cell organism
  • Selling black and white televisions on street corner by age of six
  • Buying a stake in a chip shop, subject may start vigorously rubbing hands at this stage, and develop a mating call of "laaaaverly"
  • Shaving head and becoming a pub landlord
  • Punching a woman on Christmas Day
  • Setting fire to things
  • Accruing wealth through a variety of unspecified means and eating roast beef in Spain
  • Talk show host on Five Live specialising in short term nostalgia (subject may show signs of advanced cockney-ness at this stage of evolution, usually evinced by an uncontrollable need to sort out a "faaamily" and also by "rubbing ducks")
  • Purchasing a camel coat and owning a lock up
  • Buying ones Nan an allotment
  • Burying Nan in allotment (usually on Christmas Day)
  • Fucking up Portsmouth football club and denying any and all responsibility for doing so.

Big Grin

I just keep hearing the jangling piano music that accompanied George Cole's spiv character in the St.Trinians films, every time Droopy is being interviewed.
