Thinking with Nolan out also he should start with something like the following
Krul,Jose,Colo,S Taylor,Simpson,Jonas,Shane Ferguson,Barton,Ryan Taylor,Shola,Lovenkrands

Leave tiote out,But knowing Pardew he will play him

RE: Team for Sunday

I'm sure part of the thinking is tat now the season is over (effectively) get the operations done and get them back to full fitness for the start of next season......I'm fairly sure Nolan would have carried on this season if there was anything at stake.....I'd imagine the same thinking will go for tiote in that he won''t be risked

but what the fuck do i know.....

Put Raylor on the right and move Barton inside with Smith might be one option.

Stick all the shit that cant get a game on we are safe where the harm in it. Stick Smith upfront just to see if he can get a fucking goal at least once in his whole NUFC career.

Could also put lover on the wing and give Ranger a run out. As you say Rotti, put the reserve lads in with some young'uns, we'll probs get beat anyhow so may as well let one or two of young lads see what it's like in a prem game.

RE: Team for Sunday

No nolan No tiote,..just send out a side to give it a go at a fixture we`ve never won in fuckin years if ever,..with orders to enjoy the day and express themselves, to show the chelski fans what the Toon can do when they play their attacking football,..if we get stuffed who cares we`re safe anyhow, fuck it.

I`d like to see us creating loads and taking the game to chelsk and seeing how the respond

RE: Team for Sunday

perhaps "daft" was a bit strong,..but i always prefer guti on the left cos him and enrique have a telepathic understanding (not),..but do quite well together linking up on the left flank.....like

I knew you were going to say that, but I thought putting Jonas up against Cole might keep the best left back in the world a little quiet.

guti has looked good on the right the few times he`s played there, maybe he can work some good moves with simmo if push comes to shove, who knows

Krul
Simpson Taylor Colo Enrique
Guti Barton Smith Ferguson
Airey Ameobi

Not ideal but i reckon thats our best side. Yes Airey is better than Lovenkrands.
Just shows how much investment is needed in the summer.

I think Vianna has a point, we are safe let some of the young'uns have a go. It will be a good experience for them playing against the big boys.
is LuaLua,Vuckic not fit still or Kadar?

How many times have you seen Airey play ?

6 times.

Vuckic and kadar are injured.
If fit vuckic would be in for smith.

RE: Team for Sunday

Seen him play a few youth games.
And he came on against stevenage. Looked good.
Good goalscoring record.
Give the kid a chance.
What's the point in playing kuqi or lovenkrands?

RE: Team for Sunday

So you've based your appraisal of him on half a dozen sporadic minutes here or there. And you've deduced he's better than lovenkrands from watching this on TV?

Fuckin hell man, there's no way he should get anywhere near the pitch on Sunday. 5 minutes against Stevenage is a fuckin mile away from playing one of the best teams in the country.

RE: Team for Sunday

I don't need to see a player week in week out to know he's decent.
I'm not saying he's Alan Shearer.

Tell me what the point in starting Kuqi or Lovenkrands ahead of Airey?
I'm just saying the guy will be given his chance sometime.
Why not now?
Throwing in Carroll against Palermo away from home did him no harm.
