Shame it's come to this but one of the only ways you'll keep the scrotes who went last Friday away

That's a stupid idea.
So if you can't afford a season ticket.
You can't watch the lads away from home.

membership is only about 30 quid....could easily be seen as another money making opportunity for the club

No. You just need a membership which is about £25-£30.

I've no doubt the cynics amongst us will claim this is a way to make more money from the fans but it seems it's the only way you can keep away the trouble makers who went down last Friday. Makes it easier to track them. If you have a membership or season ticket, you won't risk it being revoked for a bit of "fun" will you?

Yes. They go to ST holders first and then members sale should there be any left. After that...it went on public sale but that won't happen now.

another joke, punishing the die hard fans just because a few idiots ran on the pitch, why should i have to pay another 30 quid or whatever before i can even buy an away ticket??

Is that not what a membership is? Paying money to be one of the first in line, get extra etc?

RE: NUFC ban non-season ticket holders/members from away games

It makes it much easier to identify who is buying tickets I imagine, rather than just walking up when they are on general sale - I've not done that so, not sure if you still have to give a name and address if it is cash for a general sale ticket.

Either way, it would mean they can eaisly identify who has bought tickets for what game and what seat they were allocated.

CCTV in the grounds could then pick out trouble makers, then pick out what seat they were sat in, then knock knock on their door the following morning.

Anything that keeps the illiterate numpties away is a good idea for me.

Half of them are that hammered when they get in the ground they don't know what's going on.

I'll give you an example of their childish, drunken behaviour.

When we played Stoke in the FA Cup away a few years ago at the Britannia, as I was walking through the turnstiles, just getting inside the concourse, I had to duck to avoid one of several plastic beer bottles being hoyed about by these fuckwits.

There was a group of them jumping about and throwing bottles randomly.

I saw a few people being treated for gashes just above their eyes.

Yep, really brainy fuckers these lot.

Hold the fort being a member costs £££?

I thought it was free.
I'm a member and I've never paid anything.
"CCTV in the grounds could then pick out trouble makers, then pick out what seat they were sat in, then knock knock on their door the following morning."

Any away game I've ever been to, I've never sat in the allocated seat.
Just stand in the best possible place.

LL why are you assuming the numpties are non ST holders?

Are you an ST holder, V? Huh
Or have you ever been? I think ST holders get Membership as part of the deal. Maybe that's why you're a member?

I said at the time I reckon the fans were going to pay for the abuse directed at Llambias at the bar inside the ground

this wouldn't have happened IMO if it was just the ones who ran onto the pitch as the CCTV would have picked them up and been banned from going to games

I don't think so, I think that's just a supporter number, which is needed for online purchases.

Don't think it makes you a member.

Could be wrong. Not 100% sure.

If you like going to away games, and do so frequently, then why wouldnt you want to be in the membership carry on???????????????????????????????????

You get the second bite at the cherry after ST holders, and if its only £30 a year then whats the problem??????

Out of interest, what other perks come with being in it? Do you get NUFC TV too?

You get a 'Welcome Pack' containing a DVD, some info on the Club and a pack of 52 cards with our players on (past and present). Kind of like Top trump cards but without the trumps. Or tops.

Well I dont see it as a bad deal at all, and it also will mean less people going who arent there for the football and who dont care about being twats, because they have no real deterrent in that they probably dont care if they cant go to other games.

I dont necessarily mean the silly crack at Darlo, I have been to many an away game and wondered why some of the pricks even bother.

Last seasons membership pack cost like £25 and had £30+ of vouchers free for like money off tickets and some less useful ones like money off meals in shearers and money off a stadium tour.
