While I was hoping we would enter the Amsterdam tournament this pre-season so I could go and take in the 'culture', I think its a great idea to send the lads to Yanky-Doodle.

Hope we get in there.

To be honest NE1, I don't think it will come off. Ashley wouldn't pay for flights etc. It took him all his time to pay for the team to fly to Dundee last year, and that was only because they kicked up shit about having to sit on a coach for 4 hours.

Aye, I know a canny little diner on I-40, just outside Memphis.

I went walking there, just off Beale St, by about 10 feet.

Thanks NE1. I had seen that. Would be great if it happened! I don't think that flying to nyc will fulfill my alcohol/depression induced promise to come watch NUFC next season if they went right back up though. I'll be saving my money for a trip to England and can't afford nyc and Newcastle in one year!

I need to get the club closer. Perhaps I could convince Ashley that some summer altitude training in Colorado would help the Club beat opponents in the second half? Big Grin We could go extreme and I could get the guys set up in Leadville, CO (alt 10,000 +)--great old mining town that once was home to Doc Holiday. Toon Army could absolutely take it over. If someone has Ashley's ear...
