get shot of him.

his wages are 25k per week or summit, and 4 goals in 14, is a total waste of money.

sure we could get someone better for them wages.

I'd be inclined to keep him. He's scored some important goals. More than Carroll and Ranger.

As an impact sub, he has been very useful and probably won us around 11 points.

Subs appearances will be included with that I would have thought.

Probably averages out at a goal every 3 games.

when harewood first came here he looked so low in confidence that evrything he tried to do was shite,..he was fucking us up, and his general demeanor told its own story, he looked lethargic and detached.

However,..the way he took that goal against barnsleh, it was a very cool finish and that could be a sign that he is starting to get a bit of his swagger back,.. all strikers lose confidence at some point in their careers, and that goal could well be the catalyst that gets him beleiving in himself again.

Assuming shola is fully fit I would send him back and use the wage money on some cover at the back.

As for 4 in 14, it's a little harsh on the bloke, given that's his first run of games for more than a year.

Is it not 3 in the last 4 games? Suddenly sounds so much better if u give the bloke some time to find his feet

my goodness brasso - you took the words right out of my mouth youngjimbobfellameladdomeladdo.

A coherent and cogent argument I am unable to put better meself Big Grin

Keep him I say. Why the hell not? He's won us games - no guarantees anyone else would for that money.

And soz like, but I stand by my opinion of Carroll that I've had for 2 seasons. For all the talk of him growing into being a good striker, I remain to be convinced. As for his pathetic off the field behaviour.....

If it wasn't for the fact that Carroll is probably going to be in deep shit, i'd say send him back, i'd sooner Ranger was given chance to progress.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I see your point of view venners, but right now I'd settle for promotion at any price. I think Harewood has proven in the last few games that he is a match winner. Personally I'd be happy if we had this current squad (with more defensive cover) until the end of the season.

Oh yes.

Initially I didn't want some Prem 4th rater holding back our promising kids, but, Carroll has let himself, and us, down, with his stupidity. He'll be lucky to escape a stretch at Her Maj's B+B, on that basis, keep Harewood, at least it's another body to pick from.

I think we need a creative midfielder more than a striker anyhoos.....the srtikers we have look capable at this level but it would be nice to create a few more chances for them

Harewood hasnt done great, but he hasnt done so bad either. I suspect our options may be limited for signing players in Jan so any extra player is a blessing. 25k seems a lot, but if any 2 of Shola/Nolan/Carroll/Ranger or injured or banned (see sundays game) our options will be limited.

We can live without Harewood, but why take the chance. He has embedded himself into the squad now and is looking like he may score goals, important ones as well.

Get rid. Has been steadily improving, and showing more commitment, but still don't like him, I'd much rather see Carroll, Shola, Ranger, Lovenkrands and Nolan used as the front men.

Just my personal opinion. The last 3 games I've find it hard to criticise the useless prick though. Big Grin

at the last count it was Carroll's 3rd incident I think, and one of them was hitting a lass. Lad's trouble and there's a lot more going on behind the scenes judging by some of the statements being made.

He should be in the last chance saloon with our club, but knowing NUFC the whole thing will end in farce and he will become a liability.

He needs a firm hand from a strong character like Shearer to put his feet back on the ground.
