Puma was set up by a fully signed up Nazi - true that.

Puma was set up by Rudolf Dassler, the brother of Adolf Dassler, who set up Adidas.

Both Adolf and Rudolf were paid up card carrying Nazis. Lots of rumours about the pair and suspected dirty play by Adi for trying to make Rudi out to be a total Nazi. Brothers eh!

Hard to judge people in those times to be fair.

On the football side Puma shirts are pretty decent and I personally believe that Adidas shirts have been total shit for the past few years.

Rather keep adidas given the value and scope you can get with adidas. Stupid fat cunt.

I'm genuinely upset with this news. Being a child of the '70's (the best decade EVER) Adidas to me is THE label. Classic Adidas trainers and t shirts - brilliant.

The classic NUFC shirts of the 90's with the Adidas logo - brilliant.

Sad day, and indicative of how we have dropped as a club.

Brasil are Nike not Puma. Adidas in general shit all over Puma but have to say again that the Adidas strips are shit at the moment. The classic grandpa collar shirt was sheer class but recently I don't think I can think of a decent Adidas shirt.

Too many of the Puma shirts have looked like skin tight Cycling tops to be honest but I agree the Adidas shirts have been disappointing for a good while now.

Doesn't Ashley own a stake in Umbro?

If so you would have thought it would be more likely that we may move back to having Umbro strips.

I have to agree with that and so reckon that the average fat spud fan looks a total joke in their fitted kit (as they did in their old Kappa kit). I have the physique for the Puma shirtsSmile

why are sunderland called the black cats?

There not sponsered by puma or got anything related to black cats only black twats in the team aka forward line,,

Saying that, there a black players in every team up and down the country, including ours, so I guess that makes me sound like a retarded 12 yr old?

If I was dying I'd take any colour doctor, come to think of it If I was being offered a shag off a black lass I'd do her the favour like....if she'd have my tiny white cock:o

Something to do with their mining heritage or something. They got it when they moved to their new stadium.

"The link between Sunderland AFC and the black cat stems originally from a gun battery in 1805 on the River Wear which was renamed the 'Black Cat' battery after the men manning the station heard a mysterious miaow from a wailing black cat.
A hundred years later in 1905, a black cat was pictured sitting on a football next to Chairman FW Taylor and three years later a black cat featured on a team photograph."

Much ado about nothing really.

If puma offers a better deal than adidas, then so be it.

Current World Cup holders Italy's shirts are made by Puma, I have one and they're much more comfortable than the last few toon tops.
