Christ, if we worried about alcoholic intake and general lifestyles of former football greats we wouldn't have many heroes left.

Geordie Legend without a doubt. For those sideburns alone!

There should be two polls here, one for the over 40's and one for the under 40's to vote on!
I think there would be 2 completely different results!

that's the kind of lateral thinking I like to hear young man. I can see Gateshead is not the intellectual backwater my father insists it is. Big Grin

Anyone who watched Supermac in a Black & White shirt will tell you he was a Legend.

Although I think he has made mistakes in life - who the fuck hasn't? - what will he be remembered for? Yeah - debut hatrick, carrying a Burnley center half on his back in a semi - final, plus a lot more. He has bagage but he could do it and did do it on the pitch.

At this point I would like to draw a total NON - COMPARISON with Bellend who could not do what SuperMac did; despite what some think.

Remember singing "Supermac is playing for Luton" after a Cup match and then going round to"help" smash his shop up!! Still a legend, mind you.

I don't know why you keep trying to call me a Mackem, although it may have something to do with one of your previous usernames when I lambasted you for YOUR mackem allegiances?

Remember that when you were a window licker, sorry, cleaner, sorry same difference, and couldn't take the ridicule for defending the mackems?

Regardless, unless you are going to put some sort of evidence up here - of which there is none ( oh fuck - I like a bottle of Double Maxim, amongst others) then why don't you take your worthless piece of shite arse and go and try to irritae someone who actually gives a fuck because I have wasted my last electrons on you - dicksplash Finger
