Jumping ahead to the summer

Assuming all is well and we are promoted.

Who would you like us to try to sign????

David Bentley
Craig Bellemey
Vincent Kompany
Danny Simpson
A couple of squad fillers.

+ One of these European playmakers that always seem to be banded around that I have never even seen play like when we supposedly went for Modric.

I think if we kept everyone else barring Geremi then we would be set for a romping mid to lower table finish!

I am not trying to be funny Sal, but are you joking?

If not, you will be in for a massive shock.

Not joking mate, non of those players are getting a sniff at their clubs, aside from Bellers but I dare say by next season Man City will have brought in yet another bunch of superstars.

If we did go up, and we actually got rid of the fat man, I think we still have the pull to bring in those sorts.

Or is it the FM dreamer in me......

bentley at one time was touted as the new beckham,..watched him the other night for spuds he was fuckin useless, looks like his confidence has been kicked to fuck by drippywax face, passing was awful, couldn`t dribble, his crossing was dross, missed an easy goalscoring opportunity,

Aye his move to Spurs has scuppered him it would seem.

Am always of the opinion that you dont just lose it (until of course you really do lose it).

Someone like Bentley has a lot to prove having failed of late, why not with us???

Get your money on us getting relegated as it will be almost a certainty if ashley is still in charge. at least when it happens you will have a few quid in your pockets.

One of the partners at our place is a Boro fan, ST holder has been for decades.

Last season he was convinced from the start that they would go down, so he dablled in the spread betting markets for the points they would get (or wouldnt), was up about £4k by the time they were confirmed as relegated.

Couldnt do it personally, cany justify betting against us!

50/1 at least Rotti at the very start of the season.

Bear in mind at that point we still had KK, just signed 2 Argy internationals and were still on a promise of more reinforcements, not to mention the battling draw at Old Trafford.

Oh how sour things became ey...

I agree on Bentley like Brassy, I think his beef is that he got way ahead of himself, embroiled in his own hype. I remember watching an interview with him just after he pulled out of the under 21's, came across as a self obsessed CUNT. You would have thought his demise since then has been the wakeup call he needed.

Rots, I find that quite difficult to believe actually........ for the following reasons.

the end of last season after a lot of soul searching i put a tenner on us going down (as well as a tenner on the mackems going down). of course after the last day i totally forgot about it but by the time i remembered i'd gone some way to getting over it and the money was a nice surprise

NE1 not really m8 even with KK here we still had Ashley as owner who wouldnt put any money in for players, and we have been gradually getting worse since SBR got the push. and amble had a £10 on us going down so someone knew it wasnt going right here.

Suppose its worth losing a £10 each year knowing your club wont get relegated and if they do at least you have a few quid to drown your sorrows.

I know, its sad aint it. I was just saying the other day that its not right that I cant properly enjoy being top, because of that nagging feeling that its all a waste of time with that twat in charge.

But as KK said on his return, theres nothing wrong with supporters dreaming - Thats what its all about!!

David Bentley 5-7mil
Craig Bellemey 5-7mil
Vincent Kompany 3-5mil
Danny Simpson 2-3mil

15-20 mil is about our transfer budget if we go up i reckon so this is feasable

not sure that bently & bellers is what we need but simpson & kompany would do

More realistic with Ashley in charge:

Danny Simpson - Some shiny buttons
Laurent Robert - A second hand Ford Fiesta and a caravan at Whitley Bay
Micky Quinn - A free £10 bet at Ladbrokes
Malcolm Mcdonald - 20 Benson and a bottle of second grade whisky

he hides the knee injury well, considering he`s their MOTM virtually every game Rolleyes

Bellaz has the ability to run at defenders and get in behind and score, or set one of his mates up to score,..tremendous talent that any team would welcome, defenders just cannot handle him really
