Tiote

All the match reports saying the fella was back to his best saturday, do you agree?
Granted my link wasn't the best quality but he seemed to me to do his usual of spinning around and losing possession and not alot else. Certainly didn't justify his starting ahead of Anita.

Pardew said he was, and he wouldn't lie.

Tiote

Tiote played very well on Saturday. I really like Anita, but I think its either him or Cabaye in the centre with either or both of Tiote/Sissoko. I would love to see Anita and Cabaye gel together but for now that does not give us balance and strength. When he plays to his strengths ie. break up play and pass simple balls to the other midfield players, Tiote is very very good.

Anita is the better footballer without any doubt at all.

Perhaps they are going to have to share gametime depending on when we need a backs to the wall destroyer, or when we need to play a possession game and to keep the game moving.

What the fuck am I saying, that would mean we had some sort of strategy Eek

And if I recall correctly commentators were mystified and found it humerous when he toite pulled out of a tackle, you could almost see him thinking '"this is a red card" if I even try to tackle. To be fair he was on a yellow, so didn't even bother.

Maybe for pure technique e.g passing but Tiote is the only out and out DM we have so he should play for me..he is a quality player that first season he was immense I think working under Pardew for a length of time doesn't do a player any good...I'd be half tempted to play Anita left back for Santon and push Santon to left wing with Remy upfront and Ben Arfa on the right...time for a stint on the bench for Papiss I think.

Agree with Cisse being dropped, but I disagree with Tiote being a quality player. He did have a very good first season, but he has been shyte since, including the season we finished 5th.

As soon as other teams could see how easily he is hassled into losing possession he became a liability. He has had plenty of time to simplify his game but he just doesnt do it.

Anita gets around the pitch, works hard and actually plays football - Pardew has no idea what to do with him.

Everytime Tiote touches the ball in our own half you can hear 50 thousand Geordies shitting themselves in SJP.

It's really beautiful to listen to.

RE: Tiote

In a 3 with Sissoko and Cabaye he has the support of 2 good ball players so he should win it and get rid

It's when he tries something expansive get gets caught out

Tiote been back to his best this season, and one of the reasons why Cabaye been back to his. Anita is a very skilful player and I'm glad to see he isn't as soft as he was. To have 4 central midfielders like these three and Sissoko makes for the strongest part of the squad.
