ONIels failing is he looks for decent players to improve but doesnt buy top class players

he has the ability to get the best from those decent players but still thats barely enough for his ambition

its as if he doesnt rate the best or perhaps its because he wont get the credit if they are good in his team

having said that we wont see top class here foir a long time unless we nurture it through the academy, so he founds perfect for us

I fucking hate it, but I agree with Morgy. IF M'ON becomes available at the end of the season, and if what you read in the rags is true then it might just happen, we should slap an offer on the table for him to come and build us into a team that challenges for major honours. And he has a PROVEN track record of doing just that. Leicester, for fucks sake, Leicester. He got them cunts into Europe !

I'm all for staying loyal to Hughton for the sterling job he's done this season and the manner in which he's conducted himself BUT, if the opportunity arises to nab a very very good top-flight manager with a vast experience of Premiership football and who could offer many many skills that Chris simply cannot, then we should thank Chris kindly and hoof him out of the door. Appointing MON would be a massive step towards progress.

totally agree, he installs prride into the shirt, which is fucking important.
he'll love the fans and we'll love him, again fucking important.
and he has a history of turning underachievers into achievers, fucking vital.

o neill heres a 5m a year contract, sign it and start the job.
id rather he signed a 3 year deal worth 5m a year with nowt to spend for a year, than chris hughton spending 15m in the PL.

He is a sad fucker when interviewed.

That said he is a good manager, but we have our own for at least 10 games next season, so might as well accept it.

Martin O'Neill wouldn't work for Ashley, not in a million years, and more importantly Ashley would not employ O'Neill.

He takes no shit from Chairman or owners.I heard rumours that he had to be convinced that Doug Ellis was definitely selling up before he agreed to become Villa manager.

I cant believe the stick O'Neil is getting on this thread.

He is clearly a top manager and frankly we would be lucky to nab him given how far we have fallen.

No flair players?? Ashley Young for a start, he has turned Milner into the central creative sort that we have been screaming out for, pace throughout his very young and predominantly English side.

He has done a cracking job at Villa.

viana45 Wrote:quoting john terry? not a great idea.

bottom line is he has taken villa from relegation candidates to the verge of champs league footy, a cup final and a cup semi as it stands.

top manager, the guy doesnt even have an agent either which shows he isnt a money grabber, who demands this or that for himself. if he were a geordie there would be plenty demanding he be nufc manager.

and its no conincidence that every club he has managed success has quickly followed

Why? He was right!

Whopps! Just realised that was very tasteless

MON is the ONLY top flight manager who has ever confirmed that he is a mackem supporter.

End of in my book.

Plus his brand of football is no better than Jackie Charlton's at best. Kick and rush. What has he ever done to warrant his reputation? Fucking nothing. You could put Osama Bin Laden in charge of Celtic and they would win or be runners up in the Scottish League. Other than that? Exactly.

Nowt.

Comes across like a bloke wearing one of thos long macs in the park. Never looks a guy in the eye and tries to be a clever fucker by not answering the question asked.

Not a great manager at all. Never been proved. Hyped up if you ask me.

He should take up politics.

"So Mr O'Neil, where did you get that bit of land?"

"I'm more interested in how James Milner is using that bit of land"

Forget Scottish football achievements when it comes to Celtic or Rangers. If he had done things with any one else then I may be intrigued.

Other than that he has achieved very little, considering he has been a manager for over 20 years. There are plenty of managers with a 'success' record like his. None of whom I would class as great - regardless of nationality Wink

The skill of writing a 600 word letter without saying anything, commenting on anything or indeed committing oneself to anything is an art.

My boss is brilliant at it.

One of the first things he said to me was "Never commit yourself to anything".

Good advice.

Gordon Strachan has won the same amount of titles with Celtic and has won more Scottish League Cups than Martin O'Neill but that doent make him a class manager in fact as much as i dont think Hughton is the right manager for us id sooner have him in charge than Gordon Strachan.

Martin O'Neill is a decent manager but he isnt as good as your making him out m8.

That's the legal trade for you - full of piss and wind, (never commit yourself to anything - especially if someone is paying for advice -from wankers who usually experience life from a book) but it makes no sense to any one except them for money making purposes.

Having more than half of the family in the legal game justifies my opinion.

Speaking from the other side, we do get clients in with some whacky ideas.

And don't get me started on estate agents and mortgage brokers.

Its not all like that mate. I see the adverts for the injury specialist firms and I get the requests undertakings from firms for costs which make your eyes water. I'd love to charge the fees of those firms, but I know i wouldn't get any work.

I really don't know why people go to firms like that.

The firm I work for charges fairly and we always keep the client informed of what we're doing.

What we do isn't rocket science, but the legal community like to make out it is. We don't.

"Managing your expectations, keeping you informed, protecting your interests" is pretty much what we work to.
