RE: SOLLOMON RONDON

We're paying about 750k a goal, so they'd better all be fucking winning ones, and not consolations when 3 down. Still, if we've got any spare Os in the club shop for the shirts, this should help clear them out.

Hang on, I thought stats were pointless on the other thread?

10 in 44 last season. 5 in his first 30. 5 in the last 14. If anything, he's getting better. Rolleyes

RE: SOLLOMON RONDON

Pleased wouldn't be the word to describe it - we have spent hardly anything all summer and only spending now that Mitro has gone. Even now, it seems possible that Gayle will be used in the deal, so fuck knows where that money is going.

Having said all that, I think Rondon is a decent enough addition given the budget. I don't think he is any worse than what we had and might suit the style better - he's tireless and will press all day like Gayle, but also offers more of a target, like Mitro. Sort of a balance between the two. Maybe won't bring loads of goals but then we don't have that anyway.

Certainly not gonna judge him on his record at WBA until I've seen him play for us.

Gayle + £3m, apparently.

"Every penny".

Plenty in the bank for another few signings then... Rolleyes

I think with this deal included we're somewhere between £20m-£25m in profit for this window, depending on which reported transfer fees are correct.

Apparently we made another loan bid for a defender - we must be holding on to all this money for a number 10...

And Kenedy's loan fee, of course.

If that's gonna be their excuse to cover the spending of transfer profits, what are they gonna use for the TV money? Confused

I'm convinced Rafa is only here to save Ashley money

I'm also convinced that the worse thing the fans can do for Rafa is fill the stadium and chant his name this season

He'll be gone at the end of the season and we truly will be fucked

In Ashley's mind, that's exactly how it will be working.

We were in a relegation fight going into the last January window and still managed to escape to 10th, with only a couple of loan signings.

Why spend money in that case?

RE: SOLAMON RONDON

Ashley must know that the value of the club is never going to be as high as it is now, simply because of the calibre of manager we have. Genuinley think alot of people will pack it in if Rafa goes at the end of the season. If he does want to sell it will surely be with Rafa still as manager, that's the faint hope i'm clinging too.

If he doesn't and Rafa goes, we are totally fucked.
