I agree I was saying the same thing at work today. Most people dismissed the idea of Brighton being involved in the scrap. I say watch this space.

Yes.

But I wasn’t talking about us. I was talking about Brighton.

We will all most likely find NUFC irritating to watch. Primarily because that’s who we support and that we are all emotionally attached to the club in some way or other.

Brighton however, I find as a neutral, are fucking death to watch.

it has nothing to do with that....we are just irritating to watch, full stop.

We were all emotionally attached to the club in the 90's aswell, but certainly not irritating to watch, very entertaining in fact.

RE: Brighton

Wrong again.

Firstly I was talking about Brighton being irritating to watch. Solely because this thread is entitled ‘Brighton’ and I wanted to say how irritating I find them, having watched them and been irritated.

Ironically now I find that I’d rather watch Brighton than be involved in this conversation.

Yep as are Watford who easily beat us in round 4. As usual a lot of the bigger sides are already out. We really did not bother with either cup competitions again. Let’s hope it doesn’t back fire on us and we acquire enough points to stay up.

Anyone who seriously believes that our frankly dogsbit attempt at a cup run was down to Joselu, is either ignorant or a on a wind up.

I do know that Cup expectations are not high on the agenda but ffs it gets very boring season after season our total disregard for these competitions. I know Premiership survival is top of the list but lack of ambition and investment has fucked up our enjoyment of taking part in cup competitions. Could say it’s the same for a lot of clubs I guess but Palace and Brighton’s fans who are in a similar position have a Q.F. tie to look forward to in March as do Watford and Wolves who to be fair are safe in the league anyway. Time will tell it might backfire on Palace and Brighton but at least they are giving the competition a realistic go, perhaps they have more strength in depth than we do. That wouldn’t be hard that’s for sure.

RE: Brighton

The club has made poor decisions over the last few seasons but has been getting back on track since Bentiz was brought in. If we continue to imrove the situation in the summer (signing Benitez up for a few more years or another decent manager and a couple more quality players) then we can start thinking about cups. I'd rather spend this season and next ensuring we are a Premiership team than risking relegation for a cup.

Havin a half decent striker instead of Joselu would mean we wouldn't have to risk our main striker to progress in the cup.
