Hughton is a better manager than Shearer. Fact.

Hard to argue with you on that point, because Hughton was given the chance and Shearer was shat on.

I will ignore that dig about romanticism and realism Wink

He probably would have stayed on, but he said himself we wouldn't be able to get into the top four, that's what I meant by giving up.

For an ambitous man, that was not a very ambitious statement.

nah i'd say Mike Ashley failed.

He should have done his homework on KK, to know what he's all about. Instead he thought Keegan would be so grateful for the job, he'd be happy to have his strings pulled.

Mike Ashley has failed many times.

KK either gave up on the Champions League or he tried to get some cash. He didn't get the cash, so he failed.

Fair enough whatever.

You're completely missing my point, I said even KK would struggle to have us challenging for europe and the title in our current situation. And it's true.

on my list for my trip

cod
saveloy/pease pud and mushy peas.

I wish you lot would just enjoy the moment of promotion and leave the speculation for the moment.

I'm a hail Hughton man, at least for the first 10 games next season.

Labour should hire you for their election campaign, your arguments are well structured and would sway any Tory voters.

I'm confused - so if we could amazingly pursuade Mourinho to join us are you all saying you would say no thanks and stick with Hughton?

I now it is fanciful and unlikely, but if it could happen I fail to understand why anyone would want to stick with Hughton over a proven top class multiple title winning manager.

A tempermermental little cunt too. To be fair, everywhere he has worked he's pretty much had what he's won handed to him on a plate. It'd be a different kettle of fish managing us compared to Porto/Chelsea/Inter.

But to answer your question...I'd probably take him yeah.
