The last time Newcastle won away in the top flight on the last day of the season was in 1976. The title was won by Liverpool. Glad the scousers lost it this time!

great win...marvellous what can be achieved once the pressure is off and benitez simply tells the players to go out and enjoy themselves instead of shackling them with all this negative, containment sheeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiite Rolleyes

Fulham were terrible. Score flattered us a bit but we did well. Few extra places up meaning a couple extra £££ in transfer kitty and stopping other teams earn more. Good stuff.

Weren’t the possession stats 70/30 in their favour?

Must have been pretty shite to lose 0-4

RE: NUFC v Fulham - Match Thread

They kept the ball ok but did little with it they lost possession when we pressed and their defence was shocking easy pickings really but very enjoyable. My Fulham mates were all banging on about possession stats shots etc. Most of their shots were blocked quite easily. We were clinical that’s why it was that scoreline.

RE: NUFC v Fulham - Match Thread

The difference between us and the likes of Fulham is that we have finishers, but it would be nice to be able to boss teams about and we hopefully will soon if we continue with the progress we have had in the last couple of seasons.
