44k is still a decent crowd during the circumstances. We did ok considering players like Ritchie and Maxi out and team still gelling. Willems played decent and Manquillo did well coming on. Out the bottom three!

RE: NUFC v Watford - Match Thread

could have been 7th if werent for that pesky keeper saving everything...atsu is a different player under bruce, much better control , doesnt seem to panic as much now when he receives the ball, and getting some good crosses in, him and willems were the pick of the bunch, joelinton played well again but didnt look fully fit to me, how muto expected to score from that angle i will NEVER fucking know, atsus cross for miggys chance was a bit behind him on that occasion so he couldn't really take the shot in his stride, ...havent seen watfords goal yet so can't comment, some jeers at the end from the fans because the passion and workrate was not of last weeks standard, so pretty disappointing not to take 3pts today.

It shows that finally people are getting pissed off enough to not attend...it's 44k too many, but it's still a statement.

Think of the positives though: rip up a few thousand seats and replace them with some more tasteful red, white and blue adverts. The seats could be upcycled by sticking famous names on them and flogging them on fleaBay. Just think of the savings to be made by getting rid of some cleaners, security and booking staff.

before mccreery starts yes i agree this time that almiron was very frustrating, i still believe in him though, but as the commentator touched on yesterday his decision making at times was bad, and for me personally it was his constantly being caught offside, must have been four or five times in the second half, just too many.

He's not shite...he has something...he came from a poor league where he was a star.... He's OK when he plays for his country .
I'm prepared to give him more time...unfortunately we have poor coaches around him .

RE: NUFC v Watford - Match Thread

He was getting standing ovations because he was running around a lot at speed. Joelinton does his nut with him in games because he can't pass the ball. Bruce's tactics haven't helped though. Hopefully he can set up a team where Almiron actually can be recognised as a footballer and not a runner.

RE: NUFC v Watford - Match Thread

He was getting standing ovations because he was running at defences and causing mayhem, dragging defenders out of positions allowing rondon and perez more time and space to score goals, I still class his 25yard shot v neverton that pickford could only spill right into the path of perez to equalise as an assist,.... Perhaps his contribution has been a bit too subtle for some on here to get their heads round,

OMG Toon Fanny that doesn't mean owt. We have a much bigger stadium than most. The sheep will come back soon enough. We are just having a bad spell just like the start of last season. Once Maxi does a few fancy tricks or Carroll is on the bench, let's check the crowds then.
