On nufc.com's "On this day" section it has a brief report of our 6-2 victory over Everton in 2002.

A game I can vaguely remember watching, but really, all I can remember is Carl Cort's goal which was surprisingly brilliant.

I've been trying to find the highlights and I came accross this report;

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Football:+...a084279256

...the first line "KIERON Dyer gave England a glimpse of the midfield magic they need in the World Cup as Bobby Robson declared: "No-one can live with his ability."

Was Dyer really considered to be that important to the England team? Confused

I can remember him playing once for England but at right back when we hammered Luxembourg and he was class, other than that I thought he only made the odd sub appearance for England?

And I've had no luck finding them highlights so if anybody knows a site that might have clips like that, post a link, cheers. Smile

Be a while before we get to see matches like this against the best teams in the world again. Sad

Agree rick

I don't think we appreciated SBR half as much as we should have either

we loved him 99% of us, but looking back on what he gave

It should have been a lot more
RIP

I really enjoyed SBR days being a minor during kk era which to be honest I hadn't a notion what was going on I was 10 when he left, had the jerseys etc but too young, SBR was doin brilliantly at a time when going to school and not stop talking about the entertainers we were and comeback kings also. Thr Leeds away matches I like 4-3 with solano remember being behind the goal with me da when nobby slipped the winner, and the 3-0 we beat them. Many many good times SBR gave us.

Still bugs me that he isn't around but cest la vie I suppose

what a lovely thing hindsight is

in reality we had many very poor performances under SBR

i remember one game when the highlight was one voice shouting "you earned your money then son" after a pathetic performance by Maric, one of many poor buysduring his era

of course Sourness successfully underachieved even further and the rest is history

Gullit signed that particular waste of space.
