Gerrard in trouble again

i watched the game last night and think he is a very lucky boy. it was a forearm smash. plain and simple and how the ref missed it is beyond me.
had barton or bowyer done similar there would have been hell on over it.

old big daddy would have been proud of it mind..

First the fight in the bar (when he had his mates to back him up of course!), last week the V sign to the ref and now this.

Irresponsible, selfish, arrogant and loutish. It's almost a pre-requisite in order to play for England these days.

The ref awarded a freekick though, and gave him a talking to.

Rules are that the FA cant retrospectively diciplin an action that has already been acted on by the referee.

Absolute joke really.

He's untouchable and he knows it.

The FA set the precedent with Big Al over that kick in the head Lennon got, didn't he allegedly tell them if they punished him he'd tell em to fuck their World Cup?

Anywho, Gerrard knows he would have to bugger the referee's mother on the centre circle in a live Sky game before the FA would even think of ticking him off this close to the World Cup, and the referee's are fully aware of this.

Very easy for the ref in this game to say he "dealt with the situation" after the game, thus letting the FA off the hook - especially if he was leant on.

I suppose the only lesson in this for NUFC is to buy an England player....didn't we have someone called Milner?
