Quote:Newcastle United will attempt to secure Alan Shearer as long-term manager.

The Observer says Toon owner Mike Ashley's new structure will involve an attempt to keep Shearer long-term, despite his insistence that he will return to his BBC role in the summer.

Ashley has offered Shearer a £4m-a-year contract and a £50m transfer budget to stay beyond the summer.

Looks like Ashley is worried shame he didnt give KK that sort of money when he was here the fat knacker what he is.

How much do you think he will lose if we go down, i hope its a fortune.

Listening to todays Sunday Supplement, the understanding was that there will be no money whatsoever, whether we stay up or not, and they all agreed this was likely (that Ashley is skint, not that we'll stay up) which is kind of unusual in itself. It would explain to some degree the stupid insistence that Llambias has of Joe returning in the Summer. A corpse can't argue back after all.

Thing is m8 with £50m given to KK i doubt we would be where we are now. The fat cunt has realised we are fucked and he will lose probably that amount off the value of the club.

Was there not summit about wise still being on the payroll in that article, I heard that this morning that he hasnt actually left the club he's just on garden leave until the summer. Wouldnt put it past the clowns at the club for this to be true.

To be fair Colo has 40+ Argentina caps and had a big reputation.

I was pleased we had signed him, and thought he looked the business in the opening few games.

However once again a highly rated centre half has crumbled after signing for us.

Why oh why does it happen.

On topic, £50mil spent on our team would be a dream come true.

Not gonna happen, we will be extremely lucky to have £15mil spent.
