Better not be Rod we are already the laughing stock of the football world. Again if the fans let Ashley off because he was FORCED into the Shearer appointment by JK having heart surgery i think its a disgrace.

totally - i think he may have realised the actual scale and enormity of what relegation would bring. financially disastrous, crowds down, playing staff going etc etc.

thank fuck he's wised up to wise - ill bet the little shitgets a hamdsome pay off like.

still if big al keeps us up and is allowed to bring in his team and money for transfers things could be looking up. and also some sort of apology off ashley wouldnt go a miss neither.

True m8 but can you see Ashley giving shearer loads of money he promised KK funds and look what happened to him.

Sorry like but as much as this is a massive improvement on Hughton/JK the fat cunt has left it far too late in the season for Shearer to do anything.

aye agree there like mate.

however i think shearer is a bit too savvy to get shit on. i also think that if we do stay up and he is appointed he will want assurances.

maybe its wishful thinking on my behalf though eh!

Dont you think KK wanted assurances m8 remember KK hadnt been in work for a good few years and when Ashley came calling he must have offered him something other than a big pay day to come back.

Yes Shearer is no mug but im surprised he has taken the job on just in case we still go down. As he will be the one who will be known as being the manager when we got relegated.

We all know who was to blame but the stats will say Shearer was manager when we went down.

I just wish Ashley brought him in when JK went into hospital.

This is a shrewd move by Shearer. If we stay up he'll be a hero. If not, people will say we were going down anyway. Win win.
