"“If Dennis Wise said tomorrow that I could run the Academy or the first team, I’d run the Academy. Because that’s what I enjoy – the youngsters are hungry, they soak everything up,” he said. “I enjoy Academy life. When I look at working with youngsters, that is the thing I love.”

He said that a week or so ago.

He's got his reward for being so loyal to big Mike.

Just wish he could keep his mouth shut.

When Ashley sells up he will come out slagging him off just to carry favour with the new owner. he is nowt but a suck up, i hope he wipes the spunk off his gob when he's finishing suckling on Ashley's bellend.

Cracking player but an arse off the field, a bit like Gazza really.

He is an addict and his addiction is NUFC. Thats why he is paying lip service to the regime. I dont believe for one minute that he actually believes the shit he has come out with lately. Its just a means to an end for him and it worked, it got him a foot in the door and now he has got his job back. Fair play to him i say. His methods may not be to everybodys tastes but thats a different matter all together.......

Give the lad a break. He wanted a proper job, working for a club he supports. If someone offered me a job working for NUFC I'd say Mike Ashley was better than Santa.

He was the "club ambassador". That hardly means he's going to go round being negative. That's our job!

Why should he be given a break anyone else would be slated for what Beardsley has done. Figs went to a talk in with Beardsley and he was slating the players and the club off now he is suckling on Ashley's bellend to get his foot in the door.

Talking of club ambassadors, is Shearer still a "club ambassador"?

I just think that a little perspective is required over this.

When Shepherd was in charge I didn't exactly see Shearer slagging off the regime. In fact he come out with total crap about Souness. But people forgive him on places like here cos he was Shearer and also cos it was his job to show unity with the club.

Peter Beardsley has done enough in my book to be a hero like Shearer, and he is in the same position, ie. employed by the club.

So is anyone here slagging off Shearer? No, of course not, and if you did you'd be out on a limb.

If and when Ashley is long gone, Beardsley could well still be at the club and guess fucking what? He'll say the new regime is great. Cos he is a professional and is used to this sort of thing in professional football. It is what they do - you hardly ever hear of players or whoever knocking the money men. if they did it could be professional suicide.

Here's another thing - you don't exactly hear Shearer slagging off Ashley. Does that make him a target for vitriol? And one of the reasons is that he won't want to be perceived as a trouble maker by the "money men", cos we all know he wants the NUFC job eventually. And if the owner then is a Yank or and an Arab, all he'll know is that Alan Shearer slags off owners.

Super Mac slags off Ashley - but he can cos he's got a lot less to lose.

TFL - i think its more like pedro used to be a good egg and understand how the fans feel.

now he's pro ashley and taking it up the arse of him; its like he's been recruited as he was a fans favourite to deflect some flak.
