Thanks NE1
Big Grin 3-0, Ryan taylor with a cheeky freekick for a disputed back pass.

I love it when mackems get all huffy about the injustice of it all

Finished 3-1. Sol managed about 60 mins, apparently solid if unspectacular. Goal for Ranger, which is nice as we appear to have few other striking options.

RE: Latest 2-0 (Toon V Makums reserves)

Sol only played first half, not 60 minutes.

Xisco was sent off for kicking apparently, but I couldn't see why at the time.

Taylor's wasn't a freekick, it was Lovenkrands with the cheeky freekick playing it to Taylor who tapped into the empty net - the tramps in the home support weren't pleased.

A few dickheads in our support were tearing up the seats - but did bring out a few daft chants - "shit ground, shit seats" and there was even a strange mexican wave which involved passing the seat to the person next to you and they'd hold it above their heads. Highly amusing.

Lovenkrands was probably our worst player on the pitch - depsite creating two goals. Passing was awful.

Ranger's goal was class. Picked the ball in in our half, centre of the field, and just battered his way through their midfield, played it to Lover who rounded the keeper, he gave it back to Ranger for a simple tap in. He celebrated nicely in front of the empty seats.

Ranger was a beast throughout the game though, powerful and working hard.

Paul Dummet, our left back, looked a canny player, but he was only up against some lad called Robbie Weir. Dummet's tackling was mint, he just flies into them. Probably should've been booked for one of them though. Tavernier looked good aswell. Sol and Grieve were solid, when Sol went off, Tozer came on and they got into the game, maybe because we were down to 10 men, maybe because Sol had gone.

Ryan Taylor bossed the midfield, playing on the wing but drifitng into the centre for much of the game. Inman and Donaldson didn't do owt special and needed Taylor there.

After the game, there was a canny bit of trouble over at the Wheatsheaf. Not many police about, and it was full of chav scum from both ends, but I'm pretty sure there were a few innocent folk unfortunately caught up in all the mess.
