Perch

He seems to be getting a bit of stick. Think he's been ok, hasn't pulled any trees up but steady enough, couple of mistakes but he's no worse than R Taylor and he's still adjusting to the prem.

RE: Perch

I'd agree to some worrying moments, is he better than Simpson?

RE: Perch

Time will tell, but he's quicker than R Taylor. Reckon he could come good once he adapts to the prem. He's got caught out of position a couple of times.

RE: Perch

Both Simpson and Perch seem to be honest players, so we should be grateful for that, no prima donas.
Oh and I'm quicker than R Taylor.

He was lucky against Wolves as that was as stone walled penalty as you will ever see.

RE: Perch

I don't disagree with that rotti, but in real speed at the time, it looked to me that Perch got a touch to the ball first, so I understand why it was not given.

RE: Perch

When i saw it m8 it looked a stone walled penalty so the ref must have not seen it properly and the linesman mustn't have neither.

RE: Perch

When I first saw it I have to admit it looked a very good challenge. I do however believe it was justice that the penalty was not given.

RE: Perch

Was listening to a podcast this morning with Graham Poll as a guest (I know he is an arse but whatever).

He was commenting on the Wolves game, absolutely slated Attwell and said that in those circumstances refs are advised to warn the manager that they can see it is a blatant tactic to single out Barton and to ensure the manager is aware that any more will result in red cards and not yellows. He went on to say that at least 3 red cards should have been issued.

Totally off topic I know, but I couldnt be arsed to find the Wolves Dirty fuckers thread.

Good point Sal, more I watch those tackles on Barton, they weren't hard and fair tackles, imagine if someone has that on Rooney, they'd be outrage

RE: Perch

Perch is a good player and time will tell if he can cut it in the premier league. He was a very good championship player though.

Aye, dont get that at all.

So fuck if Barton has a history, it doesnt excuse that sort of crack and it certainly doesnt mean our own fans should be cool with it.

End of the day he is our player and he has had a good start to the season.

RE: Perch

I just couldn't see what the big deal was.......

Henry thought he was a big man with a point to prove
He put a few hard tackles in that the referee didn't punish
Barton did well not to react

that's it as far as I saw it....it certainly didn't need the pages and pages written about how 'outragous' it was

especially seeing as it was Barton who is an utter cunt

RE: Perch

I said myself the ref should be demoted to the fizzy pop for that performance if it had been Scholes/Giggs/Drogba that got that treatment that Barton got he would have been demoted. but because it was Barton nowts done about it. Barton has gone up in my estimations because he didn't bite, i cant think of many players that would have done what Barton did.
