A win on Saturday...

...isn't necessary, but it would be massive for us.

It would show that the spirit is still there, and that is key to our survival.

Not necessary really.

Would be nice, but I'd not be too concerned with defeat.

As things stand now we are on target for the magic 40 points to keep us up so as much as I want us to win I won't be to disappointed if we lose.

3 points is a must. Take every point in this league. You never know when the next injury or suspension will come from.

Yep, get as many points on the board as we can. We're bound to go through a purple patch sometime.

Well obviously play for the win. That should go without saying. Rolleyes

I just mean I wouldn't be too concerned if we were beaten.

25 points before Christmas would be a great achievement. Mind I think we cocked up from a similar position in 2009.

RE: A win on Saturday...

This match could be crucial in us staying up. A performance is vital. no heart and no commitment in this one game and it could de-rail our whole season

If not a win, a 100 percent performance is necessary

Saying that, honestly think Baton, Nolan and smith are too professional for a half hearted, toys out the pram performance

Same here mate.

I havent racked up hundreds of games or anything, more like 30 or so.

But have NEVER seen an away win, even after going to a few last season in the sodding Championship.

I truly am the curse on the road.
As for Brum, they are loitering around toward the bottom of the league but I think they have only been beaten at home once.

It will be tight and a one nil win to either side wont be a surprise.

Am gonna stick a tenner on 0 1 Carroll @ 35/1, and 0 1 Ranger @ 55/1.

The Ranger one looks a cracking price.

ha, I've only ever seen us win away once that was 5-1 at Rotheram, Keegan got 4 of them, that was getting on for 30 years ago and I've been to a canny few away games since then !

Bolton was a great one alright.
I think I racked up 10 one time before I saw a win, or a goal for that matter.

RE: A win on Saturday...

When i first started going to away games regular was under Sir Bobby i never saw us lose for about 2 seasons won most of them and must have went to half of the away games each season, also went to away games under Allardyce etc and well you can guess what happened to the winning record.
