RE: Ben Arfa

He is clearly out of favour or not fully fit..to bring both Ameobis on ahead of him and Vukic under the circumstances today makes no sense whatsoever.

I am afraid as well as injuries we havent been having those little bits of luck of late, but when you see todays substitutions it does tell a story about the squad we have.

There must be something up once Vuckic came on ahead of him.

I watched it on foreign tv in bar.
It zoomed in on Benny when sami and Vuckic were getting ready to come on.
He was fucking irate.
(an irate isn't a member of the backroom team)

RE: Ben Arfa

We would all have taken this back in August, but whilst panic and doom and gloom are far from the order of the day, it worries me that the issues we have with quality and depth of squad that have been laid bare over the past few games are nit going to be addressed in the coming weeks.

If not the excellent work done thus far could well end being forgotten come the second half of the season, a last season Mackem plummet is perhaps not likely but not impossible.

He was badly off the pace against Chelsea. Don't think we will see the best of him for a while yet. No point rushing him.

Just seeing some reality from many years of watching football. We clearly have the basis of a team that can compete at the top end of this division, however those who are able to do so must act on the lessons even the most optomistic fans will have learned over the last 4/5 fixtures. A little more quality in our squad and we will be doing very nice thank you....however now is not the time for yet another dose of Ashley thrift!!

I've had reality rammed down my throat for 40 years. I am now firmly in the glass half full camp now - and 6th top looks like quite a full glass to me!

Merry Xmas everyone!

RE: Ben Arfa

Seriously though. We played them off the park.
We deserved 3 but got 1.
At Man USA we deserved 0 got 1.
V Everton we got 3 deserved 1.
These things even out.
As long as we are playing well its good.
And we did dominate
