SBR wasn't all saint, there was a ruthless streak which I think he'd lost a bit when he came here
His time at England wasn't all rosey neither at Barcelona where he took them from mediocre to winners in a season and they still pushed him upstairs, he was respected bt not popular
But I loved him here, and i despise Shepherd more for that decision then for all the debt, snoozing and dodgy stuff he did.

Yes, Sal said he is shit or has played shit and most of us agree.
No way do I like to hear one player singled out and booed, but to be truthful it happened in the 60's and 70's so its nothing new, but I agree it can't help a players confidence.
He is still shit mind.

If Ben Arfa can play on the wing I'd give him a go out there, if not then Obertan is our only real option out there until Marveaux is fit. That's a long way off yet.
People are calling for Sammy to start ahead of him the same way they were calling for Vuckic to start. If Pardew tires that and it doesn't work he'll get serious grief over it.

Last year on my visit I thought Sammy was a great prospect but he hasn't gone on with it and is too lightweight for the Prem. Vuckic has great potential. is a big lad and will no doubt make it but I agree with IM, too early and especially against the top teams.
I'd still like to see us try Ferguson on the left (if Santon plays) and Guti on the right, maybe not against Manure though.
