Danny Guthrie.
Not to jinx the lad but he has been immense today. Running the midfield. Fair play to ya lad.

RE: Danny Guthrie.
To be completely fair, he has been a strong performer for us for a number of weeks now! More than adequate replacement for Tiote!

Without a doubt. Really standing out today for me though.

Also think Perch has had a good solid performance along side him!

RE: Danny Guthrie.
Perch and Guthrie have looked really good, i wrote Perch off, but happy to say he's proved me wrong today, been impressed with his play, nice and tidy and nearly a blinding goal.

Guthrie was really good. The jury is still out with me about Perch. Maybe the more playing time he's been getting has improved his confidence.

I couldn't fault anyone today, Guthrie would be MOM for me though, hope we get a new contract sorted for him.

Perch playing in the back four is a disaster waiting to happen. To be fair, he has played OK in midfield though

RE: Danny Guthrie.
What do you do when Cabaye (and Tiote) are back as neither have done anything to justify being dropped

Cabaye and Tiote are definite starters when fit and available.

If I had to be really harsh it would have to be Fab...
Coloccini was at fault for the goal. I've never liked Keane, but he is a canny player and was constantly dragging Colo out of position.
And Colo's fancy footwork let him down on more than one occasion, which is something I haven't seen for a long time!

But what does that say to Guthrie, Perch, Marveaux, Williamson, Best etc... Come in play you best and end up getting dropped as soon as a "1st team starter" is back, we need competition for places

RE: Danny Guthrie.
I'd keep Guthrie in the side personally and I'd have Tiote and Guthrie in the middle and let Cabaye have a spell on the bench.
Has Guthrie signed a new deal yet?
I'd stick Tiote in for Perch though, no brainer for me! No matter how well Perch has done, he's no Tiote.
