a 9.2 is a bit high like,..the smog strikers never troubled him enough to earn a 9.2, possibly an 8 out of ten

Guthrie was poor, everyone screaming like fuck at him to push a bit wider. Infuriating at times.
Colo man of the match for me!

I want BLOOD BRASSY BLOOOOOD!
Seriously though he does my head in with his constant back passing, he's another nicky butt.
Good cross for shola mind.

Guthrie isn't a winger though he is doing his best out of position and he played well today.. he is a good passer of the ball so what if he passes backwards sometimes so does every player when you are winning i don't really care it's just keeping position

i thought he played better today than he ever has for us tbh,..not just creating the goals but his work-rate was good, always seemed to be involved and wanting the ball,..i have criticised him in the past though for looking a bit disinterested, and looked like he never liked playing on the right wing, but today he did ok

I know what your saying mate but guthrie isnt the slowest, he can still try and cause a bit trouble by going past his marker? And there is times Simpson overlaps and guthrie just uses him as a decoy to play through the middle, whereas i think its better to get the ball out wide for a cross in as most our goals coming from crosses.
Not having a go at the lad he just seems to halt play when theres chances of a break etc.
Not questioning his passing in general.

The lad struggles out wide generally, although the cross for the goal was as good as any we will see this season.
He naturally drifts inside and it leaves us lopsided a lot of the time.
I guess he has suffered as an individual due to Nolans goalscoring. No way could either Nolan or Smith be dropped, so Guthrie is either out wide or on the bench.

Funny how you see things especially via TV, I didnt think that was one of Enrique's best games.
Colo was very good though.

Guthrie plays well in the middle which is his actual position, he isnt a winger it was frustrating watching the numerous times he could have flew down the right flank had he any pace, although his delivery for shola's 2nd was fantastic!

As has been said, Guthrie is a decent CM, and only an ok winger. He was much more involved yesterday because Boro's entire game plan seemed to revolve around stifling Nolan - something they did actually achieve, much good it did them.
Guthrie's deliveries are still the best we have, however sporadic, and if the fatman actually allows hughton to buy or loan anyone in January then a winger who can cross the ball is who I'd shop for (and one with pace, for preference)

pancrate can get crosses in fop,..if we are to be buying (ha) or loaning anyone in jan, i would go for cover for taylor and colo, that was frightening recently when they were both out,..fuck me it was awful

Well, if you want to be all cautious about it, yes, but I find defenders over-rated. Play 10 attackers and a keeper, and bollocks to clean sheets.

that sounds great,..but we may get hammered, the keeper could be left a bit exposed
