Is 12 more wins enough to get promotion?

Some interesting figures from the last 3 seasons

2009
wolves won the league with 90 points
Birmingham got 2nd place with 83 points

2008
WBA won the league with 81 points
Stoke got 2nd place with 79 points

2007
Sunderland won the league with 88 points
Birmingham got 2nd place with 86 points

with us sitting on 49 points already this season, is it realistic to think that 12 more wins giving us a total of 85 points would be enough to see us gain promotion

yeah buts thats thing lucian, we are now in a position where we can afford to drop a couple of points to WBA and the likes without hitting the panic button

I want to see 100 pts and 100 goals to ram it down all those bastards throats who ripped the piss out of us last season.

I honestly thought we could "do a Leeds" this season as I thought we had a shit manager and a squad of total wasters. Glad to say I got it totally wrong and I can't remember a squad playing with this much team spirit since Keegan's days in the 90's.

Next season will obviously be a different kettle of fish, but I'm enjoying every minute of this season.

Get a striker in in the mould of Viduka and we will win this league long before May. I still think our strikeforce could be improved upon.

Ameobi fair do's has scored 6 in 6 games but Ranger for me simply isnt good enough. Harewood im hoping starts to score regularly, Carroll in my view isnt good enough to me we need a proper striker if thats possible for us to get.

Agree with the ex Arsenal defender we were not that good today but the win is all that matters.

if we managed to conjure up a genuinely decent forward in January he would score 20 goals. If Shola could stay fit he would be the leading scorer - that speaks volumes about the standards of this league.

Oh to unearth a new Andy Cole!

in the words of russell brand,."frigg him frigg him, why he wanks over sheep and sucks on various cocks,....hari-krishna..!!"

Lee dixon that is the cunt who constantly tripped and tugged (ooo-err) at ginolas shirt many years ago, i always thought he tried to make a name for himself in that match, just cheating for the whole game and the ref turned a blind eye,..ginola was miles to good for the cunt and methinks he were terrified of being made to look like a goon in front of...... (coughs) the gooners :o

If he does come here, then workshy alcholic Kris Boyd will rattle a score or more, I should think. He may be a fairly reprehensible fellow, but you can't fault him for putting the ball in the bag.

As far as forwards go we arent that hot up top, but I would be inclined to stick with what we have or maybe another loanee from the PL.

I wouldnt bother buying anyone on the basis that if we want to do well next season, we need a top draw striker, or as top a draw as we can afford / attract. We will be in a better position to get a someone in this summer as opposed to January.
