Are we linked with him ? Or is it just someone you reckon we should go for ?

We need a striker, before anyone else, who can actually score goals.

Paraguayan journalist claiming Almiron signing for us today.

Account has 350k followers so clearly a big deal over there as far as sports journalists go.

I'm all for having good players at the club.

But it's a bit like buying a fork when you already have one, and desperately need a knife.

We need a striker. If we had a decent striker (or maybe two) we'd be mid-table for sure.

If his signing is followed up shortly after by one (or two), then great.

Hmmmm - I think a good number 10 is just as important as a striker at the moment.

We only have Perez for that role, he has no competition and has always drifted in and out of form.

We wont buy a striker.

Lee Ryder has just suggested there is no indication that its close anyways.

We shall see I guess.

Perez, while technically gifted, has the goalscoring ability of Ameobi.

He should not be so far advanced on the pitch as a number 10. A winger at best.

He has his good spells and bad. To be fair he is a good finisher, works hard and carries the ball well but lacks pace and isnt very aware of whats around him when he has possession. I like him though and happy to have him in the squad, just not as first choice.

Gets knocked off the ball too easily, and not a natural finisher.

Squad player at best.

What case are you resting exactly? That Rafa's rating of a players ability is no better than sourness's? Unfortunately YouTube's are all we have to get any idea of what he's about at the minute and shows that he is very left footed but can also score goals with his right. Smile

Wasn't 'I rest my case' one of Souness' favourite expressions when arguing he wasn't a totally crap manager?

That drives me mad. He's is the very definition of a failed manager and he sits there pontificating about what likes of Klopp and Guardiola should be doing.

he reminds me of benny with his dribbling skills and sweet left foot....but i suppose as jinky says let's see him on the pitch first before getting too carried away.

Being ultra positive, is this a sign that the US backed takeover is bubbling away in the background? ?
