Shola making a return?

Looks like him slipping his tongue up Mike's hoop has landed him a job. Good work, Shola, well played.

RE: Shola making a return?

Must admit I have always thought that when he has been a guest pundit he has spoken quite sensibly. Is he up Mike’s arse are there grounds for that statement. If there are then fair enough I am sure someone well tell me in no uncertain terms. Why shouldn’t he coach the younger players with his knowledge and experience about the club. Answers please?

RE: Shola making a return?

Better to give the job to him than others who know fuck all about the club is my opinion. Not sure it’s anything more sinister than that really.

RE: Shola making a return?

Would rather Shola was here than someone who knows fuck all about the club or area.

He’s a local lad, gave us years of service, trying his best and did very well.

Not the best player we’ve ever had, but certainly not the worst.

Did well in Europe for us.

I don’t know why Shola gets so much stick of some of our fan base.

Good luck to the lad.

And remember he was the Mackem Slayer after all.....Wink

Shola making a return?

So we've already determined at this club that great players don't necessarily make good coaches......

RE: Shola making a return?

Not saying he was top class or anything.

However, he did provide some good memories, with some important goals.

On occasions he was fantastic and unstoppable, he particularly liked playing against the Mackems, he was awesome away to Leverkusen, scored in the Nou Camp, got some vital goals for us at times.

I will concede, as the video posted by Jinky shows, he could be also fucking hopelessly frustrating and shit at times.

However, he loved the Toon, gave his all, tried his best and the Fenham Mackem Slayer is a kind of loveable hero, but yes not top class.

Anyway enjoy some good memories below.

Shola making a return?

I always liked Shola.

Limited for sure but he filled a squad role and shared lots of highs and lows with the crowd.

Took a cracking penalty and lets not forget his 7 or 8 goals against the mackems.

Goal at the Nou Camp too.

Its because he gave Ashley a proverbial blow job on sky, which I thought was an odd tact to take given the general mood of the fans at the time, it seemed staged and if it was then it was a cuntish act.

oh give your fucking head a shake Rolleyes

try 53 goals from 312 apps, thats more the reason why, to generalise he was shite for the majority of his time here, interspersed with the odd flash of quality

Having a pop at what you fucking numpty?

You think Shola will be a shit coach because of his goal record with us? What about the fact he is an intelligent diligent sort with a wealth of first hand experience through thick and thin with the club?

Why am I even entertaining you with a response?
