Canny goal by Almiron. It needed to be as apart from that we were terrible attacking wise. Unlucky with Gayle getting injured. Sean Longstaff's corners and free kicks is abysmal. No creativity from midfield. Atsu terrible. Nice to not get beat for a change!

Wolves are better than us, doing well in the league and in Europe, beat City in their last home game and considering our injuries on top of all that, that is a very good result.

I mean you're right, expectations have been lowered, but today isn't an example of that.

I agree I don’t think many of us thought we would get a point from that fixture the expectation was for us to get beat.

Aye but does it matter

Is it a point for Newcastle United or another one for Ashley?

RE: Wolves

It's a point closer to Ashley's goal of survival, and nothing more.

All I'm saying though is that most sides would be quite happy with a point here, even more so considering the lengthy injury list. It's not really the best indicator of our expectations slipping.

Now IF we beat Rochdale and Oxford and everyone is suddenly chuffed with reaching the 5th round, which should be a given considering the draw we have had... That's a better example.

I guess we should but under the circumstances it is seen to be a decent result. Wolves are no mugs.

RE: Wolves

Behave TA. If Rafa was still here you'd be loving this result.

I get it. We are shit. We are going nowhere and never will under Ashley. But this seems an odd time to try and ram that point home. As I said above, most sides (even those with ambitions) would have took a point here even with a healthy squad.

Because Rafa offered the last hope, a genuine world class been there done it manager and even that wouldn't change Ashley's mind as to how he should be running the club.

Any hope has now gone so i'm in crash and burn mode, anyone who backs Steve fucking Bruce and the shell of a club we now have deserves what they have got.

I'm fucking sick of this shit and want the NUFC who tried to be the best it could be back.

But what the fuck has any of that got to do with the Wolves game mate?

I agree with your overall bleak outlook on things, but today genuinely wasn't a bad result.

What do you want me to say like? Good draw away? I don't care man, i don't even want us to do well anymore while Ashley is here. You are talking to the wrong bloke if you want to discuss the game.

Nah I just want you to acknowledge that you were talking utter bollocks when you said that Hunty's comment was a sign of lowered expectations.

It's hardly jumping for joy ffs.

You're so intent on proving that you're not enjoying any of this, that you're creating new things to whinge about when there's plenty to moan about as it is.
