soumare put off by training facilities

"One of the FaceTime sessions included Lejeune and Saint-Maximin giving Soumare a tour of the club's training ground, only for the youngster to be left unimpressed"

..and to think we're owned by a fucking billionnaire, gotta larf innit. Rolleyes

Reality is he'll be waiting for a bigger club with more ambition.

RE: soumare put off by training facilities

you don't say

BENITEZ wanted to bring us in line with the modern training facilities of the big clubs, mike didn't want to know,....the fact he was willing to spend that much on one player without selling any of ours is doubtful anyway ofcourse, specially seen as its a fucking striker we needed

Cannot fathom, how we went through the window without bringing in a proven striker. As in, one who can actually score goals.

I think we needed a proven goalscorer in the Premier League. Not lower league (Toney), not from another league (JoeLimpedOn), and not from our youth setup yet.

no i meant we should never have let him go, i thought the lad had something about him, his pace is too much for league one defenders, whether it would cut the mustard in the premier league we may never know, no use crying over spilt milk i suppose. Sad

I just understand policy.

It should be simple; Each window, strengthen your weakest area as a priority. Then, strengthen wherever else you have a weakness, as a 2nd priority.

ta-da.

Joelinton's confidence is absolutely shagged

You can tell he just doesn't want to get into positions where he might miss

He needs taking out and given a rest but obviously there's no fucker to come in

We still haven't replaced Mitrovic

I'd have dropped JoeLimpedOn after 6 or 7 games without a goal, not 20.

He's new to the Premier League, needs time to adjust as many do. Some time in the reserves with less pressure, get more accustomed to the new environment.

As soon as I saw him struggle, I'd have taken him out.

Bruce is to blame for his lack of goals as much as the lad is, himself.

Drop him and replace him with who? We have no creativity. Our midfield are crap at creating chances for our strikers. They either lose the ball or pass backwards. Our defenders just hoof it upfield to an opponent.

Gayle.

He's a proven goalscorer, and only natural one we have.

Sure, he might not bang them in like he does in the Chumpionshit.....but he'd score more than JoeLimpedOn, for sure. And then JoeLimpedOn would have something to aim for.....produce in the reserves enough to challenge Gayle.

Should never have got rid of him, he’d easily get 10 goals minimum a year.

Come on! They're the Wonga paddling pool and dustbins. They've got much better facilities now:

....happen they do get a cross into the six yard box, joelinton's on the edge of the 18 yard box with his arms crossed. Rolleyes

It was Rafa who instigated that move his face didn’t fit he was a bit of a liability having said this. My mate is a Fulham supporter and raves on about him haha!

I don't think he's been sent off since

Rafa dropped a big bollock - replaced Mitrovic with Slimani who barely played

Then sold Mitrovic to Fulham and got Rondon in and they both finished on 11 for the season

I think 11 in the premier League in a v defensive line up is better than 11 in the championship for a team playing expansive football

Fair enough he did get sent off a few times for us. He has been fine at Fulham don’t think he’s seen red for them.

Mitrovic was never given a proper chance under Rafa.

I like having the option of a big striker able to bully a defence.
