… in Millbank Tower.
Ronnie Gill really aren't very good at investigative journalism, are they?
Well what about the newly formed company NCUK Investments Limited?

Yasir Al-Rumayyan is the Governor of the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Chairman of Saudi Aramco according to Wikipedia.

RE: This time
The Independent has reported they expect the Newcastle Takeover to be fully complete by the end of April. It is simply a matter of time.
As part of the checks...the buyers have outlined a three year plan. This includes appointing board members and a new director of football, with significant investment in the club, youth academy and infrastructure.
They also want to target a world class manager

Matt Lawton, Chief Sports Correspondent
Monday April 20 2020, 12.01am, The Times
Wrote:The £300 million Saudi Arabian deal to buy Newcastle United from Mike Ashley is done and is now simply subject to Premier League approval.
Sources close to the deal have told The Times that a deposit has been paid and all the relevant paperwork has been signed. “There is no backing out for either side now,” one source said.
Premier League officials still have to review all the documents and that process could take three weeks.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) will acquire an 80 per cent stake, with Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners taking 10 per cent and the Reuben brothers the other 10 per cent.
The Reuben brothers, Simon and David, are said to be millionaire property developers.
Staveley is expected to join members of the Reuben family on the board. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of PIF, is set to become the club’s chairman.

Would all this company house stuff not make more sense to do after the owner and directors test, or did it have to be done so that the tests could begin?

They will already know its cool.
Its all just a paperwork formality.
I am aghast at how many self righteous journalists are suggesting we as fans should be making a stand against the Saudi lots political antics. Aye its not ideal and no I dont condone how they go about things (murder in particular) but since when is it our job to fight that kind of battle????
Theyre good enough for Donald Trump & Bozo to shake hands with but we need to make a stand against them? Really?

I can only assume that these paragons of virtue don't travel anywhere in protest against Saudi oil.

Miguel Delaney is one of the loudest shouters - His employer is in part owned by the PIF - The irony is at biblical levels.

Exactly this, its ok for them to go to Buckingham Palace, Downing Street etc, but Newcastle fans should be in uproar.
Mike Ashley is worse than the Saudis, atleast they'll kill you outright, Ashleys method is torture, and its been done slowly over 13 years.

Its a good article and I agree in the main, though the whole 'whataboutery' dismissal is ridiculous. Yes I get you can peel back layers of anything and point a finger, but that Delaney bloke is indirectly employed by them, yet is suggesting we as fans could turn up with banners in support of the journalist that was killed a few years ago - What the actual fuck? Why on earth would we?
It is one thing to be critical and aware of foreign states ways and means and alleged atrocities, its a whole different matter to be expected to make some kind of stand against it.
