Agreed Sal - I think the gist of the article was that you just have to be upfront about it not bothering you
Making excuses and comparing it to other situations doesn't change the truth

RE: This time
I’d rather it wasn’t the Saudis, of course, but after 13 years of Ashley’s death but a thousand cuts, I couldn’t give a toss.

RE: This time
Ashley hasn't ran the club well but has done better than quite a few clubs. The club wasn't very self sufficient when he took over. If there was no takeover we would still ve in a decent shape being able to buy £40mil players. Hopefully decent ones though.

Buying players or setting up the academy and facilities? His failure to properly invest in the previous 13 years is his legacy. Buying players now doesn't plaster over his epic failures like appointing a decent commercial manager to maximise advertising revenue
I know whatever I say will fall on your deaf ears but really, anyone with an ounce of savvy sees he's been in this all wrong

Buying players is top priority to ensure Premier league survival. It gets harder each season and especially if you've dropped out. Money was invested, it just didn't pan out, ie. injury prone / donkeys. Some clubs have spend 100 million and are in a much worse state.
We were restricted by some sentimental bells who felt a name of a stadium was more important than success.

RE: This time
sounds too good to be true, am i dreaming this?
"Kevin Keegan is being lined up for a sensational return to Newcastle – and the Saudi takeover could even be rubber-stamped later this week.
The man idolised as ‘The Messiah’ by the Toon Army will be invited to take up an ambassadorial role when the £300m buy-out is finalised.
And that could come within the next ten days as Mirror Sport understands that the Premier League are now within sight of giving Amanda Staveley’s P.I.F. consortium the green light to assume control.
To date, the club has not been asked for any further details on the proposed acquisition – which means that the fit and proper persons’ test is close to being satisfied – with a final decision expected imminently."

There's a good article on the athletic website by Matt Slater about what the fit and proper persons test is, and what it isn't.
From what he had gleaned from the rule and speaking to lawyers the only potential issue is the BeIn complaint and even that is likely to be overcome.

RE: This time
There seem to be a lot of people suggesting that a lot of things should be included. It seems to be fairly straightforward and sensible to me:

If it's 350 pages and based on Liam's reading speed, it will be another few months.
