RE: This time

"Newcastle United and the Premier League must put moral values ahead of financial gains, says the fiancee of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund looks set to finance 80% of a £300m takeover of the club.

Khashoggi was killed in 2018 with Western intelligence agencies believing that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder - which he denies.

"Moral values should prevail," Hatice Cengiz told BBC 5 Live.

"My message would be to the management of Newcastle United and to the decision makers.

"We should consider ethical values, not just financial or political ones. Money cannot buy everything in the world. So the message that will be given to people like Crown Prince is extremely important.

"There should be no place in English football for those credibly accused of atrocities and murder".

i do sympathise, it was a dastardly deed and she must be devastated....but in many ways losing our football club has felt like a bereavement, a huge part of our lives snatched away from us by mike ashley and we would like it back thanks....and if these "murderers" are the only group willing to cough up what the FCB wants and get him the fuck out of here then I for one will support them all the way

The FA will be aware the Saudis will be interested in buying TV rights

Money talks,

I get the issue with the Saudis history on human rights, but every country has a history on human rights, us France and Netherlands carved up Africa and enslaved millions. Portugal Netherlands and us carved up info China, the US still have a massive race issue, India has a caste system which judges you at birth

The whole world is unclean

Saudi Arabia produces ~12% of the world's crude oil.
Saudi Arabia consumes ~3% of the world's crude oil.
About 10% of the fuel we all use fuel to spread Chinese bat flu around the world in double quick time comes from Saudi Arabia.
