Searched for the medi-plane and found this info Jinky. Looks like it follows the Royal Flight around but you can't track the three big planes.

Thank you, Air Traffic Control , much appreciated....

I don't think that story tells us anything new.

I suspect there has been a decision - the PL won't announce anything, why would they its a corporate matter between Ashley and the buyers - I think it will be announced on 1st June as rumoured, being the first UK working day after the Eid public holiday (which is all this week for the government).

Without meaning to sound arsey, that's just pure guesswork isn't it?

None of us have a clue what is going on, we are just hoping for the best.

No it is just a guess.

But I'm no better or worse informed than the Guardian. Or anyone else with an internet connection.

Yes me too. I'm trying to stay positive about it. 'No news is good news'

What tells you no one knows anything is the stories about us signing your name them, tonight its Xherdan Shaqiri, along side a story its going to fall through.

RE: This time

Here's some of the companies that the ?? P.I.F. have bought into this year or acquired or are finalising.

Guess which one gets peoples backs up !

1. BP (£670million)
2. Boeing (£578million)
3. Facebook (£500million)
4. Citi Group (£422million)
5. Marriott International (£416million)
6. Disney (£400million)
7. Cisco (£397million)
8. Bank of America (£385million)
9. Royal Dutch Shell (£392million)
10. Suncor (£389million)
11. Carnival (£370million)
12. Live Nation (£336million)
13. Canadian National Resources (£330million)
14. Newcastle United (£280million) PENDING
15. Total (£179million)
16. Equinor (£118million)
17. Union Pacific (£63million)
18. Pfizer (£63million)
19. Automatic Data Processing (£63million)
20. Berkshire Hathaway (£63million)
21. Booking holdings (£63million)
22. Qualcomm (£63million)
23. IBM (£62million)
24. Starbucks (£62million)
25. Broadcom (£62million)

This is on top of interests in the likes of Shell, Uber, Lucid Motors, Aramco the list goes on in their asset pot of $300 billion according to Forbes worldwide, $10 billion of that in the USA who was also told to watch out for piracy but Disney had no issues.

So why the fixation on stopping them buying Newcastle United? I keep getting told we arent even a 'big club' what ever that means!? Are folk worried? Does the Premier League want the awkward questions and the apple cart being moved around a little? Do they see the benefit of new funds and expertise from a world of companies coming into the game when finances are stretched? Surely a better Newcastle attracts better players which makes a better league which benefits everyone?

Lots of questions and someone needs to start giving answers as its not fair on us the fans.

I personally still think this deal will eventually go through as there is too much muscles and legal heavyweights to fight it but it's sure a long affair with more twists and turns than a Holywood blockbuster!

Whats your feelings on it all?

I think the Premier League are a bunch of self absorbed, dithering cronies, very much like the present Government we are currently suffering with.

If it does fall apart, not only will the PL face litigation from the Saudis, but also Ashley. Its taken Ashley 11 years to find a buyer with the cash. He's not going to allow a bunch of self appointed suit to thwart this sale.

And a wider look at this, the PL have really created a monster here. I read a few weeks ago that the main reason buyers fail the directors' test is lack of funds. The Southampton takeover was initially rejected for this. A buyer doesn't only have to show that they can buy the club but run it if income dries up. So for a £300m take over, you'd need to show you have probably £500m in cash you'd be happy to piss away.

There are very few people in the world that can afford to do that. And even fewer of them are interested in becoming football club owners.

Manchester United are hemorrhaging money, and there is no one going to buy that (even if the Glazers wanted to sell). Is it going to take Manchester United or any club being liquidated for the PL to realise there's a problem here.

IF we get taken over and Bruce goes, who would you rather Poch, Benitez or other...?

I'd rather Rafa over Poch, i don't mind Poch but you have to win trophies to be a top manager.

Also Rafa knows the club now, would have a head start.

Now if you said Allegri or Rafa, that's a tougher call.

Rafa knows the club and dare I say “gets the club”, he’s a top bloke too. I just have a feeling Poch would be the better option of the two. Not that it matters as I still think the takeover talk is a load of bollocks. Big Grin

I was reading about the Southampton takeover, which was reported to be rejected initially. There was a bit more to it than a straight forward "no" and that the PL worked with the buyer to overcome the issues.
