Brewce can just about get a result against fellow managers who also don't do tactics, his luck pulls him through those aswell.

RE: Burnley

We were lucky for the first goal. Could easily have been a foul by Wilson. But ASM was the difference last night and hopefully a few more games this season. When he's up for it he can be a match winner against a good few teams. A player bought by Ashley!

Dyke seems a decent manager but doesn't have the funds for the quality players we can afford.

We should have enough quality to carry an average manager and keep progressing.

RE: Burnley

ASM must be among the best players we've ever had, up there with beardo, shearer, ginola, keegan etc.......dyches' main tactic was the same as gollums a few weeks ago "kick that little french cunt out of the game asap" , and they did, but only after he'd won the game virtually single handedly.

Burnley were awful as has been said, but worryingly with the exception of asm we werent much better, the only other player that really impressed me was fernandez,...... woods and barnes are very limited in ability imo, but dyche picks them because they're his kind of players, very physical, and he likes to see them bully defenders, but from one of the first challenges for a high ball fernandez gave barnes a solid elbow to the head, just to remind him he was there.

Joelinton was shocking i thought and should have been hooked long before the end, he just gets in the way and ruins every attack by either miscontrolling the ball, or simply not knowing what to do with it, you have to think so much quicker at this level, he's too slow.

Ofcourse it's only a matter of time before ASM says au revoir.....just watching him running with the ball in full flow ghosting past these pro defenders as if they're from a sunday pub team (bardsley should be) is a pure joy, but you cant help thinking that he's wasted here, should be playing in the champions league instead, and sadly we all know he soon will be. Sad

Hope i'm not tempting fate, but he's been quite inconsistent and often goes missing against top clubs, so wouldn't be a guarantee to leave anytime soon.

RE: Burnley

he is a jewel of a player stuck in very average premiership side....his assists stats would have been far better last season if we'd had a striker capable of sticking his crosses in the net.....unfortunately we had joelinton instead. Rolleyes

Wilsons goal was a tap in, but the fact that he was aware of what asm was going to do and knew he had to get in the six yard box to meet the cross is the difference between him and joelinton...and exactly what asm wants.

ASM..."For my part, everything will depend on this development. If the club is developing well and it is in line with my desires, staying is a possibility. Afterwards, if things don't turn out like that, obviously the question of leaving will arise.

"Now we are in a huge league with a lot of big teams, so being able to play in Europe and the Europa League would be really great. The Champions League is a big dream, every footballer wants to play it.

"It's a great, historic club that has a lot of dreams and there is everything around it to achieve this goal."

RE: Burnley

He still has a fair few games where he keeps losing the ball, usually against the top teams. He needs to be a lot more consistent to go to a club in Europe.

bullshit......the problem has been a lack of players on his wavelength. when he's running with the ball he's looking for options, if he can't see a player in space to pass to he will keep running and sometimes be dispossessed, in a better side with top players around him he wouldnt have that problem.

apparently being rewarded with a whopping pay rise and bumper six year deal....fully deserved in my opinion, if true

RE: Burnley

Total bs....

He only passes when he knows he hasn't a chance. Anything above 20% he'll try to do it all himself. Can't blame him too much but gets disposessed an awful lot for no need.

Yes, deserves a contract and happy about that as he is a match winner against average teams, but Lascelles gets a 6 year deal every window so doesn't say much!
