Post: #5 RE: our new manager... It was Bruces idea... "Steve Bruce has insisted that bringing in new "assistant head coach" Graeme Jones was his decision at St James' Park. The former Manchester United captain informed the Press today that Jones was "number 1" choice and suggested that those above him had not initiated the move with Bruce explaining he went to managing director Lee Charnley with the idea. Bruce says that Charnley "agreed" to his idea to approach the former Luton Town boss."

The club will just pay off the contract - I’m sure there’ll be an early termination clause on the club’s side where he’s only entitled to X amount.

I don’t know how long the contract ‘he’ signed. The club might not be able to terminate within the first two years or something. If they agreed to that though then they’re even more stupid than I thought.

Also Ashley would have to spend money on bringing in another top quality manager if Bruce was made to leave. Paying a few extra quid for someone with more than 2 brain cells makes financial sense. Totally different team since Jones has came in.

Everything good that happens will rightly now be credited to Jones, everything bad will be put on Bruce. Love it tbh. All pointless if the takeover isn't happening like, but still quite funny.
