has to be up there among the best players in the clubs history...possibly saving us from relegation single-handedly, or in other words without him we looked pretty well fucked

Injury prone or just kicked to fuck by premiership cloggers who can't deal with his pace and skill?

Yes he gets kicked but his hamstring keeps him out the most. He goes missing against the big clubs also.

Spot on, he looked great against Burnley's carthorse defenders but has yet to prove himself against the more fleet footed at the top end of the table.

RE: stmaximin

thats a bit harsh, and a bit daft tbh....the opposition are forced into changing their tactics if hes in the side, west ham defence which had been fairly solid up till they played us totally panicked soon as he got the ball and ran at them, they couldnt throw as many men forward because of the threat he posed and we havent had many players down the years that have had that kind effect on a defence single-handedly. probably supermac, that's it.

or are they???....we have two very good keepers, fernandez, clark and dummett are all good enough for the prem imo, i always thought benitez was wrong in pushing murphys nose out in favour of atsu, ritchies is good enough, shelveys is a very lazy moody cunt who iv never liked personally but when he feels like it he can be a great player, miggy is undoubtedly premiership quality, st max is one of our best players of all time and wilson is a top striker.

the players bruce has at his disposal are good enough to be well and truly safe by now...the reason why most games this season theyve looked disjointed, dissilusioned, demotivated, unfit, lacking in passion desire and commitment is because steve bruce is fucking useless.

Like many players on his day he is class he needs to be consistently good at this level but to be honest when fully fit he is generally the best of the bunch we have at this present time. As mentioned there is enough in the squad for us to be higher up the table. Many teams are of a similar standard after the top 6/7. Mike Ashley will be happy with our finishing position as long as we stay in the league. He has zero ambition for the club which is frustrating to say the least.

Fair points, but if true will be music to Mike Ashley's ears as it's a clear endorsement of his strategy and tenure.

We don't have goalscorers though when Wilson and Maximin are injured. £40mil was basically thrown down the drain.

yep he will be delighted to stay up with such a wafer thin squad and the cheapest manager in the premiership....that's a successful season to mike ashley. Rolleyes

RE: stmaximin

from the telegraaarrrph

Quote:Newcastle were vulnerable but enterprising. Their season would have a different complexion if Allan Saint-Maximin played more often, the speedster causing palpitations in the Liverpool defence with every sprint. Kabak was booked within ten minutes for a dreadful, cynical hack, and whenever the Frenchman found space it required three home players to pounce on him.

kinda what i was saying, kabaks tried to kick him out the game early on, bastards are all doing it so no surprise he's always picking up injuries. Rolleyes

The top top players learn to anticipate a foul and avoid injury by going down early after a slight initial contact. This is something Maximin needs to learn to do (as well as a lot of our players).
