Brendan Rodgers is favourite, Lampard second.

RE: New manager

Totally underwhelmed.

But if they're the 'bookies favourites', then aren't they just the names with the most money?

Lampard is shit,

Rodgers would be a short term measure, he isn't a big enough name for the players we need to take the club forward...

RE: New manager

Lampard would be underwhelming.

Would be happy enough with Rodgers for now.

RE: New manager

both better than bruce..........never thought Brenda was that great, vardys ability to score half chances is papering over the cracks, even when he went close to winning the title with the dilppers the team was fairly average without suarez's goals and assists...lampy proved he is well out of his depth specially when the pressures on at chelski, dealing with all those ego's and an owner who gets bored with managers fairly quickly, i think he needs to learn his trade for a few years with a lesser club before being thrown in the deep end at a big club like ours.

I thought Conte had said no already. Give Jones the gig in the interim and then bring a bigger name in Jan or even next season maybe.

RE: New manager

That’s what I’m thinking. Not sure we’ll get who we want now, we just need to avoid relegation and get ready for the fire works next summer.

Might as well give Jones a go until Christmas and see how he gets on. If we’re still second bottom, get rid and by then hopefully Mandy and the gang will have sounded out who they want.

RE: New manager

Rodgers rumours seem to be ramping up, would be happy with that.

Just been on SSN, and Campos favourite for DOF.

Howe would be hugely underwhelming and the wrong appointment even short term if this is true and I really hope they don't go with Martinez, I have never rated him. I think the issue is that none of the big boys will want to take a risk while we are where we are, maybe in Jan when there is money and if we have started to pull clear, which looking at our fixtures is a big ask.

I would personally take a punt on Gerrard and an experienced DOF. I think he would get enough respect initially and a reaction plus it would be a big move for him (to the PL) so he would want to prove himself, I think he has something about him. I am not totally against Lampard, he did a decent job at Chelsea, 52% win ratio in a very tough pack although I am not sure his personality is right, he comes across as nice, meek and not sure thats what these fuckers need or if it would have the desired effect.
