I havent seen a replay but I thought the ball was getting away from the attacker at the time anyway...

Not denying that, but I thought the ball was getting away meaning it was not a clear goal scoring oppotunity. Therefore a yellow at most.

Interpretation by the ref.

The linesman flagged, therefore the ref had no choice but to send him walking.

Bassong is a better player than that, he could have caught the kid easy enough, but something made him stay.

Aye he did pull him back, but the player actually went down after there boots clipped.

Ah wouldnt have said it was a straight red imo.

arr no i`ll just google it, i`m sure its dire straits, which is rather apt.

this "last man" rule seriously needs to be looked at like,..ok if the player is just about to pull the fuckin trigger, but the guy was miles from goal,...i`ve said this all along not just biased for basong, its fuckin ridiculous a yellow card and free-kick would suffice,..but that decision, plus vidukas goal being disallowed plus those jammy cunts clearing off the line just before that has left me speechless
